Prior to residential design, I was a licensed electrician and plumber as well as an upper end home builder. I apply the knowledge from my construction background in my home plan designs. I have always felt it important to truly understand the "parts and pieces" that go into design a home.
When possible, I encourage my clients to maintain a "4' grid" in their designs. This helps eliminate the waste you see in dumpsters on job sites and helps our environment. Custom cabinetry is on a "3" grid so I strive to maintain this in both kitchens and baths to eliminate unnecessary fillers and expensive custom configurations.
Arbetek Inc currently uses the latest versions of AutoCAD software. I am excited to announce that, soon, I will be implementing Revit Architecture, the leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, in 2017. BIM is the creation and use of coordinated, internally consistant, computable information about a building project in design and construction. I will have the ability to provide photo-realistic renderings, accurate material take-offs and much more.
